A KAMILA COFFEE REVIEW: I had been waiting for this day like a child patiently waiting for a lollipop at the dentist (true story from 90s). My good friend Luke had just opened his very own coffee shop and the time had come to finally check it out. After a short bus journey to Hythe, I had arrived.
I started off my coffee experience with an espresso from Pharmacie Coffee Roasters, it was Beija Flor, Brazil, and had flavours of berries and plums and it was slightly cake-like in its finish. The shop’s name is Mit Milch (which means ‘with milk’ ) so I had to give the flat white a try, which Luke skilfully prepared using the same coffee beans. The added milk had made the coffee lovely and silky smooth. The final coffee was a beautiful pour over, blackcurrant and crispy apple in a cup, and it was another offering from Pharmacie; this one was a natural Villamaria, Colombia.
Luke was so hospitable to me despite - and my friends may tell you - me being known for sometimes overstaying my welcome. This was no exception, of course but my experience was just too good to leave after only one cup. If you are looking for a good coffee spot or a lovely coffee experience in the Kent area, I highly recommend you pop over to Mit Milch.
